Aside from performing these exercises daily, it is important to learn correct sitting posture to decrease pain and to achieve optimal alignment in your body. Adjust your work station to meet the following criteria:

  • Your monitor is at eye level (head is straight forward, do not tilt your head up or down)
  • Shoulders are relaxed, forearms on arm rests and parallel to the floor
  • The wrist are at neutral, with minimal bending
  • Scoot your bottom to the back of the seat and lean on the backrest
  • Hips and knees are bent to about 90 degrees
  • Feet are flat on the floor

  1. Whelp, I found out quickly that my cute kitchen chairs sucked as my office chair. Since I’m working from home like the rest of the world during COVID-19, I’m sitting in the kitchen chair no more than ever. Luckily, I was able to stop by my job, grab my seat and back cushion. I also grabbed my keyboard and mouse pad as well as my floor mat. Now I’m quite comfy!

  2. Thanks for the tips, this was exactly what I needed after being stuck sitting at my desk for so many hours! 🙃 Thanks for taking the time to explain and demonstrate in the video. Very helpful.

  3. I will use these exercises! Thanks, they should help a lot! My husband always has to remind me to straighten up! I hunch over. My lower back and neck/shoulders are always aching and very tight.

Posture is so important. Especially if you’re sitting in one position for a long time. We hope this helps 🙂
