How to Sit Correctly at Your Work Desk

- Your monitor is at eye level (head is straight forward, do not tilt your head up or down)
- Shoulders are relaxed, forearms on arm rests and parallel to the floor
- The wrist are at neutral, with minimal bending
- Scoot your bottom to the back of the seat and lean on the backrest
- Hips and knees are bent to about 90 degrees
- Feet are flat on the floor
Consistency is key. Practice correct sitting posture and make a little bit of time for exercises everyday. Your body will thank you.
Whelp, I found out quickly that my cute kitchen chairs sucked as my office chair. Since I’m working from home like the rest of the world during COVID-19, I’m sitting in the kitchen chair no more than ever. Luckily, I was able to stop by my job, grab my seat and back cushion. I also grabbed my keyboard and mouse pad as well as my floor mat. Now I’m quite comfy!
Yes! A good chair can change everything!
Thanks for the tips, this was exactly what I needed after being stuck sitting at my desk for so many hours! 🙃 Thanks for taking the time to explain and demonstrate in the video. Very helpful.
You’re welcome! Hope it was helpful! 🙂
I will use these exercises! Thanks, they should help a lot! My husband always has to remind me to straighten up! I hunch over. My lower back and neck/shoulders are always aching and very tight.
Posture is so important. Especially if you’re sitting in one position for a long time. We hope this helps 🙂
